sniper282000 Posted June 15, 2015 Share Posted June 15, 2015 2007 (Cavies' best guard ever.) BD has won Guard in: 84, 86, 90, 92, 95, 97, 98, 99, 03, 06, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14. Holy Crap. Now, the one possible dispute is 2004. Cavies won in QF and SF; BD won in Finals. Since DCI has waffled (badly) over the years with trophies, I ASSUME Cavies won in '04---even though they finished 3rd in Finals, they had a 0.1 average edge over BD. I mean, be that as it may, people say this kind of thing all the time. But that statement assumes everyone *else* is just going to sit on their hands and do nothing. This could very well be Cadets' best hornline ever, or not. But even if it is, what if BD has their best ever? Or Bloo? Or SCV? Or Crown? Basically I'm saying that a corps having their "best ever" line does not mean they will win the caption. Winning captions is not about being good, it's about being better than the people you're competing against.
