Brian Tuma
What? 51? That stinks. I mean I will always support Pio, ALWAYS! But, man, I'm so sick and tired of them being bottom feeders when it comes to scores. I love the organization. I love what they do and how they do it. I love that they are not all about placement, but more about education and opportunity. I'm not expecting them to come out and be scoring 70s in their first show, but ####. Every year for the past 15 + years, they just stay at the bottom. I'm not trying to be a conspiracy theorist either. Plus, I know those kids are busting their butts, just like every other group. I guess I would just like the results to match the hype once. Whatever. Go Pioneer! Better Everyday! 3.90 points above their 2014 opening score.
drummergirl
Ask OC, academy, and jersey surf. When do they have their first? I'd pose the same question about those or any corps who wait as well. I do realize the issues with high schools getting out for summer. As a former teacher in the south, we have the issue on the other end of tour. School starts back last week of July or first week of August. Just thinking out loud really.
DrumManTx
Pioneers brass score spread was around 5 of the 9.5 spread between them and the Colts. Less than a point back in some of the content captions, .3 in GE 1. Not bad IMO. Edited June 24, 2015 by DrumManTx
Michael Boo
Expect to see alternate brass features in the years to come. It's just part of drum corps now. Edited June 24, 2015 by Michael Boo

davidmccain
Early on the mix of captions being judge really play a part in the these scores and explain how some corps are getting jumps. It would help to understand everyone's relationship to one another especially when it is non-head-to-head competition if all Captions / Categories were represented on everyone's score sheets. Herk
Awesome, Michael!! Actually, I'm surprised Boston didn't put these in their show.
IllianaLancerContra
That looks like an artillery piece. How do you load it? I believe it is a WWI device used to listen for approaching enemy aircraft. Seriously.
