I'm all for random line ups, but when DCI is making the concerted effort to get these corps in a realistic order, seeing BK and Troopers that high makes me cringe. Nothing against those corps, but being in a different show from Minneapolis may be the only reason why they are that high up.

On the other hand, I love that they have the opportunity to move up the rankings this season because of a favorable line up at this regional!

In my 5 years of being a crazy obsessed fan of drum corps I've never seen scores and show orders so all over the place as this year.

Not saying it's a good thing or a bad thing - just - all over the place!

For those wondering how the performance order was determined, and don't feel like clicking the link, here is how it was done......

Results from DCI Minnesota (Minneapolis) and Drums Along the Rockies (Denver) on Saturday, July 11, determine the performance order for the DCI Southwestern Championship in San Antonio. Once seeded in score order, corps were drawn at random in groups of three (First through third, fourth through sixth, etc.).

Troopers? Yes maybe a little bit but they'll hold their own.

BK followed Bloo last night and more than held up their end of the bargain and have marched side by side of SCV and BD for Cali tour. I think they'll fit it a bit better than others.

I feel it's going to be harder for Academy and Colts to follow BStars, Madison and Boston. That's a tough spot, but both corps are much much better than previous years. Fun, if nothing else it's going to keep people in their seats and not wanting to take a break. So many great corps all spread out. Cool, can't wait
