DrumCorpsRadio
http://www.madisonscoutslive.com/mainsite/2015/09/ian-lewis-and-kc-perkins-named-color-guard-caption-heads/ Ian Lewis and KC Perkins Named Color Guard Caption Heads CHRIS K. SEPTEMBER 3, 2015 MEMBERS, NEWS, STAFF The Madison Scouts are pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Lewis and KC Perkins as Color Guard Caption Heads for the 2016 season. “We are privileged to have both Ian and KC returning to our guard program and assuming the caption head role,” said Chris Komnick, Executive Director. “This will be Ian’s fifth year on the guard staff and KC’s second. They both bring an incredible passion and experience to their teaching.” Ian is a graduate of Jacksonville State University (AL) with a Bachelors Degree in Music Education with a concentration in saxophone. While at Jacksonville State he performed with the Chamber Winds, Symphonic Band, and the Marching Southerners. Ian was a member of the Blue Stars (2009) and the Carolina Crown (2010-11). During that time, he also performed with winter guards Aureus Independent and Paramount. Ian also teaches and choreographs with various high school and collegiate programs including Kennesaw Mountain High School, Western Carolina University, Saint James School, East Paulding High School, and Georgia State University. During the winter guard season he works with Paramount and Georgia State University. KC began her connection with color guard at the age of seven as a spectator of the 1977 DCI Prelims in her hometown of Boulder, Colorado. She then followed her passion for performing by marching with the Blue Knights, Thunderbolts, Emerald Marquis, and Cadets of Bergen County. Continuing her love for the activity, she has been an instructor for many groups including Pomona High School, Plymouth-Canton High School, Pope High School, Seminole High School, Father Ryan High School, Forte, Oracle, Opus X, Paramount Winterguard, Blue Knights, and the Phantom Regiment. KC is an artist, a writer, and a teacher of authentic and expressive art, which allows her to delve fully into movement, voice, photography, video, performance art, drawing, play, painting, and found-object sculpture. She calls Nashville, Tennessee her home where she enjoys, writing, gardening, hiking, meditation, and playing with her dog-children, Sisco and Bodhi.
BlueStainGlass
Per Andy ebert Facebook Chris kaflik is joining Madison scouts visual staff. Kaflik was Blue Stars visual caption head for several years. This isn't shocking news and I'm glad they are seeing the weakness and fixing it. A whole new visual team at BS was needed after last season's scores. Edited September 6, 2015 by BlueStainGlass

Liahona
Colts: http://colts.org/news/news.cfm?news_id=864 Howard Weinstein is a good get for the colts. He was instrumental in propelling BAC from being out of top 12 right into it for it's first time in history with a 9th place finish in 1999 and two 5th place finishes subsequently as well...he kept them in top 12 for the entire time he was with BAC. Great news for the colts IMO!
BlueStainGlass
He was apart of the great Blue Stars shows. That's a great pick up for colts.
