Well, I don't know about you, but I am BEAT! That was a lot of drum corps in two days.

I am going to shut it down for the season, but I will be back for 2016. I'll give you a list of the shows I'll be covering after the WGI season is over.

There are good reasons why MBI beat them legitimately. We are all homers to some extent. And that blinds us to many details. Personally I thought high brass would be the VERY LAST caption that MBI would win. I am rather shocked, actually. Visual I could understand. The Cabs have never been known for being particularly adventurous in visual design. But MBI has had some of the best visual shows for the last 5 years or so.

But hey, I'm looking forward to the recaps.. Congrats to C2 and the Bucs!!!

:ninja:

I almost lost what's left of my teeth when my jaw dropped at the announcement, my brother.. I was SPEECHLESS - and when have you known me to be silent - Kind of like Hornline Member of the Year in '86.

tryi ng to wrap around they position flip and C2 moving to second, I'm getting too old to see why this happens.. It was a bit strange around the Souvie booths for MBI and Cabs ..

Ron - "Little Bruce" Lochgaart came up tothe booth last night - he was wearing a "Zurah Shrine Drum Corps" cap - saying it was the first DCA he'd seen since 1973..

for all y'all - "Little Bruce" started with Brass a year or 2 before Ron and I joined - me in "72 , Ron in '74 (I think)

I'm not understanding your point. Were you surprised with C2 in second? Or the MBI/Cabs flip.

Don't know about this Championship but "Back In the Day", the US Marshal's Service would have had the vans waiting and escorted the "Adjudicators" straight into Witness Protection....... :ninja:

Congrats to all corps who campaigned in 2015....... :flower:

I had to chuckle last night at some of the comments from DCP Forum members and the moderator. The tenth through second place corps received nothing but praise and positive comments. Reading however had dirt in the percussion, guard issues and some phasing and alignment problems, while everyone is watching them live and at home simply decimating the field within the first 2 minutes of their program!

Reading's percussion dirt was confirmed by the fact that C2's percussion execution score beat them, even with a suspected tear between battery and pit. Bucs deserved to win, but were not close to pristine, and C2's guard buried the Bucs.

If you look a little closer that cute little corps from the south. Atlanta CV "buried" the Bucs in guard.

It is sorta funny reading between the lines sometimes. Whe you see sometimes 3 pages of commentary of just one corps and then maybe one response on another corps essentially saying "you have a very nice corps there "insert corps name "

Yep.....a lot of burying going on, but I think a salient point was that Bucs deserved the win....challenging arrangements and drill, but they did not decimate the field.
