ErieSopMike
So have we, as I'm sure most of our competitors have. It's a year round activity. We have our first major fundraiser in a couple of weeks. Design meetings, recruitment strategies...all in the woks. Hinting at next years show? Or typo? Or both? Fran Haring
Hinting at next years show? Or typo? Or both? It very well might be the first show ever about Chinese cuisine.
N.E. Brigand
It very well might be the first show ever about Chinese cuisine. As I recall, this 1994 film about Chinese cooking, from the director who would go on to make Sense and Sensibility, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Brokeback Mountain, and Life of Pi, was warmly received upon its release: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yicBx-okC3k

LOL.
ErieSopMike
It very well might be the first show ever about Chinese cuisine. Now, all they'd have to do is have little samples to hand out to people (like at Sam's Club) and you'd have EVERYONE in your corner!
Dan Detweiler
I was going to go back and fix it...but I kind of like all the speculation! "Crouching drum corps...hidden Marvin" Dan

drumlaw80
How DCA fans, alumni and corps don't get outraged when Buccaneers win 10 of 11 years, and your fans continue to disappear, is beyond me. I guess it's all good, as long as nobody rocks the boat too much, or challenges Reading. Got courage? Or are we okay with watching DCA circle the drain? You can paint me as a troublemaker, again, but look at the historical record for the last decade in DCA. DCA for the last decade is a pale comparison of what DCA once was from a competition aspect, and that needs to be fixed, or DCA will die. It may take five years, it may take ten, but without change, DCA is coming to an end. Simple as that. Kamarag
How DCA fans, alumni and corps don't get outraged when Buccaneers win 10 of 11 years, and your fans continue to disappear, is beyond me. I guess it's all good, as long as nobody rocks the boat too much. The problem is that correlation does not imply causation. To blame DCA's woes on Reading is absurd, unless you're going to also present hard evidence that ties one to the other. So far, you haven't done anything more than speculate. You've absolutely started a much-needed discussion, and for that I thank you. I'm not as ready to dismiss your ideas as other are, and I do agree that DCA needs to take action to solve the attendance problem. I think marketing and location are the two biggest issues, and I hope that both are discussed further.
