HornTeacher
O.K., so yet another holiday season has come and (almost) gone. It's the off-season, so here's an exercise for the creative among the lot. Using "The Twelve Days Of Christmas" as a guide, who can come up with creative re-lyricing (no such word, I know -- so shoot me) the song in a way which applies to Drum Corps. I'll be the first to totally embarrass myself... Of the twelve gifts of Drum Corps, my true love gave to me: 12 Snares a-Drumming 11 Troopers Drooping Ten Horns a-Hop-ping 9 Groups A-Winning 8 Steps per 5 yards 7 Corps Seceding 6 Words of Bluecoats 5...Vanguard....Rings (omitting their one tie, of course) 4 PR Emmerts 3 Finals Ties 2 DC Eyes And the last show for Star in '93.
BRASSO
All I know is that on the Fifth Day of Christmas, the Blue Devils probably got 5 Golden Rings.

BRASSO
Come on B, you can give HT a run for his money. No can do, Ghost. I hate this song. It gives me bad flashbacks when I hear it. Once, long ago, on the 8th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me 8 maids a milking. It so excited me, that on the 9th day of Christmas I gave 5 golden rings to one of the maids, and then things quickly unraveled with both her and the maids. So I'll take a pass right now with this song, and go milk some holiday eggnog instead, and try and stay out of mischief.
