StarOrg
Congrats to Kosmos for taking the Fanfare Championship. Matt, the corps is looking really good after a long hiatus. Jupiter is in a real slump in the music dept. and not conveying to the judges which means longer practice times coming. The sister corps from Honolulu got a kick out of the 3 point difference. Hawaii and Cross continue to excel at the moment.
ftwdrummer
The Texas Zephyrs feel like they're starting to plateau a bit. The corps is looking ahead to the Texas tour with anticipation--it'll be good to get back home, and we expect that rehearsals will kick into higher gear once we're back in the weather we're used to. Galen
Congrats to Kosmos for taking the Fanfare Championship. Matt, the corps is looking really good after a long hiatus. Thanks- our staff and members were ecstatic after the scores were announced last night! Things really seem to be gelling right now, but we know we still have a long way to go. Steel City Sound and Enchantment were feeling just as good after their own respective wins in Irondequoit and Long Beach. Both corps are definitely way ahead of schedule with where we expected them to be at this point in their first seasons.
hostrauser
Congrats to the winners of the Regional Prelims yesterday! Low participation this season means that all corps will advance to tonight's Regional Finals. You've got about five hours to get a caption change in if you want it for tonight (but the next point increase is tomorrow, so...) I hope to get the first Sweepstakes standing update for the season posted next week, now that we have a few sweepstakes events on the books. StarOrg
Crickets are louder on this board. I guess all the directors are feverishly working with their corps. Kudos to Blue Ridge Brigade. Had a great run at Woodlands and knocked Hawaii out of a nice streak that was going. Star of Jupiter and Star of Hawaii are now South America bound with first show of that tour tonight in Costa Rica. Cross will be remaining state side for the rest of the winter tour.
ftwdrummer
So far, South America is being pretty good to the Texas Zephyrs. Some of our most recent changes to the show are going live starting this week, so we'll see how that works. It is a bit ironic, though, doing a winter show in the middle of their summer. hostrauser
SWEEPSTAKES STANDINGS #2 (through 2/27/16) A huge win by Quiksilver in Annapolis and the overall high score for yesterday has kept Kosmos from running away with this.
