Jeff Ream
how many names has the place had now?
JeffBanyots
I would guess that it will changed to grass. It is a soccer stadium after all.
dbriggs
how many names has the place had now? had to wiki to find out (CRS) - Paetek, Marina, Sahlen's https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sahlen%27s_Stadium#Naming_rights
Kamarag
I would guess that it will changed to grass. It is a soccer stadium after all. There's little chance of that. Grass in upstate NY means you eliminate months from your event availability each year, and it's *far* more expensive to maintain.
Jeff Ream
yeah going real turf would limit it's options
goalieguy
I would guess that it will changed to grass. It is a soccer stadium after all. Jeff - as much as I agree.. It isn't MLS They don't have "grass requirements" like almost ALL of the MLS clubs need. I'm curious how that'll affect the new MLS stadium we're building here for the Minnesota United FC, who are moving up in a couple of years. Yet another facility in the "Land of 10,000 Taxes" (and stadiums) Pat There ARE some turf fields that have been deemed acceptable by MLS, but not too many! Grumpy
I shudder to think what "real grass" would have done the year Ernesto visited...maybe among the "new improvements" will be a video screen without a whole bunch of missing blocks? and getting rid of the bees in the lower deck would be MUCH appreciated (haven't ever been in the upper deck, so don't know if they're as problematic there!). Hopefully new owners will be drum corps friendly!
