DrumManTx
I know there are a few corps that are up for Open Class designation after that process (not sure how that works), so who are the corps that are pending in Open Class for 2016? eric24
Ok I believe the corps are: 1. The Battalion, IN 2. Horizon, TX 3. Shadow, WI 4. Ignition, IN It would be great if any new corps would pop-up on the east coast. It's been a while!!!

One correction - The Battalion is based in Salt Lake City, UT.
Jeremy Denzer
Shadow and Battalion have both posted that they have been approved. Any word on Horizon or Ignition? Shadow posted they are attending DCI championships. Battalion is not this year.
DrumManTx
Know a guy on staff with Horizon, I'll ask him.
Northern Thunder
Any word on Horizon or Ignition? Unfortunately Horizon did not meet their evaluation. Still haven't seen anything about Ignition.
totaleefree
Southern Knights an all ages weekends only corps from Alabama passed their DCI evaluation and will be able to get judged at DCI shows in the south. I have no idea how DCI evaluates a DCA corps or how that compares with a DCI open class corps, but it is good news that corps are passing DCI evaluations. Jeremy Denzer
So the corps in question have known for at least a week if not longer......when is DCI going to update the website with the news? When will schedules etc be updated? When will the newly approved corps be added to the list of open class corps?
HeWhoWaits
The Battalion and Shadow are now among the corps listed on DCI.org. Links to the Shadow's website is available on the corps page. The Battalion website link incorrectly links to Shadow. They both still show up with blank schedules on the schedule page. And despite the scoring irregularities that seem to happen when DCA corps are judged on DCI sheets, it's still a good thing that DCI makes it possible for all age corps outside of the northeast to be seen by judges.
