Dci5340
Anyone have any knowledge of any open Conductor spots?
Ghost
Might not be any available at this time of year. If there was one, wouldn't a corps go back to the first one cut if still in that corps?
drumcorpsfever
I would suggest to reach out to the corps themselves. At times, a 2nd conductor spot can become available in spring training. Good luck! Edited April 6, 2016 by drumcorpsfever

That's typically the norm. Very rarely do corps openly advertise open conducting spots unless they can't find someone internally (either in the corps itself, or through personal contacts of the corps staff). This is because they'd have to have a proper open audition.
xandandl
Keep contact with all corps during their Spring Training. That period when the feet hit the field and music is played on the move is typically when corps learn that an extra set of conducting hands would be beneficial this part of the show or that. Sometimes they are able to pull someone out of the line to conduct. More often today an extra person is added on to conduct. Have your bag packed and ready at the door. If they want you it often will be immediately.
