BRASSO
The Thing Drum & Bugle Corps.... they were a merger Corps out of Milwaukee ( ?), Wisconsin in the late 60's or early 70's or so. Wow, their uniforms were a mishmash of all sorts of colorful " things " cobbled together. Big hornline, if I recall. Pretty decent too. ' Saw them at the World Open prelims one year. What a name for a Corps, huh ? Guess it was the only " thing " they could think of at the time ( ..haha) Edited June 7, 2016 by BRASSO

The resulting corps was too big to be outfitted in a common look, so they used the green Imperials' uniforms and purple Thunderbolts uniforms. They fielded the single largest color guard of anybody that year. Came off the line to Fanfare for the New, and even played the Looney Tunes theme. I first saw them early July. They had a fantastic percussion line, taking 7th out of the 48 corps at DCI prelims.
Fran Haring
What was the year... sometime in the 1980s, I'm pretty sure... that the Crossmen wore those Spanish-style uniforms? Probably seemed like a good idea on paper. Not so much on the field. LOL.

Those were the ones (1985) they called the "Hostess Cupcake" uniforms, because the squiggly design on the jacket looked like the white icing on a Hostess Cupcake.
