interesting, vanguard only .3 behind BD in music, and .65 in visual. Sadly they are 1.2 behind in GE...

Oh my God you're right! I'm so sorry and on behalf of BK, I apologize for them not getting their entire program on the field. get a grip man, if you don't like it, go watch someone else's show - or better yet, go March somewhere and put yourself in their shoes instead of #####ing on a message board.

I've marched some where. I've won some time. I'm sure he has marched some where too. You don't speak for BK, so no need for you to get all pretentious and apologize for them.

Everyone does not have the same amount of time to prepare. In fact, some groups used to not compete until July due to the fact that their kids would not get out of school until late June. Some corps start spring training in May, some in June. And yes, corps begin rehearsals in December, but any drum corps vet will tell you the real work begins in Soring training.

Yeah, no and no. Corps should get penalized. There should be timing penalties. Everyone had the same amount of time to prepare. I'm not going to beat this to death. I just disagree. It's not fair to the paying public and it's not fair to the other corps who are judged for 10 minutes agains BK's 7-8.

Corps should be penalized...HEAVILY...for not having a full show on the field. Not fair to the paying customers.

None of the corps have a "full" show on the field. You've obviously marched a few years. Was the show you performed at finals the same one you started out with in June? No. I can't imagine anyone who buys a ticket to see a DCI competition in late June expects to see a fully formed product on the field. The fun of going to these early shows is to see what the corps are bringing to the table, and how far they can take their shows in two months.

Do you know exactly when Blue Knights began spring training? I doubt it was any later than BD, SCV or MS.

There's a big difference between making changes to a show over the season then coming out unprepared. NO, we made changes to our shows over the course of the season, but by Memorial Day we had our whole show on the field - EVER YEAR. I realize shows are more complex these days, for sure, but when you have a month of spring training (every day for a freaking month) there's no excuse.

BK should've at least played the end of their show at standstill if they didn't. If they didn't I understand why some may criticize them. Either way there's enough corps that I wouldn't consider it a rip off or anything.

Madison seems like they are positioned to do really well and I'm surprised BD didn't hit 69 at least. I expect lots of movement in the coming weeks.
