BRASSO
Another way to look at this, is to look at the end of June rankings from this season to last season. We can look at this thru the prism that some shows are early in the month, others later in the month, Some shows have full panels, others half panels of various mix of judged captions. We have some Corps doing 7 shows in June, some no shows in June. We have 5-6 minute Corps performances compared to other Corps 11 minute performances. We have dates when Corps do no shows, and we still rank them with corps that have shows that nite. We have different judges mix doing all the shows. Some judges we'll see at Championships this August have not judged at all yet. So anyway, knowing all this, here is what we get thru this exercise: the current DCI World Class Division rankings with the completion of scores and competitions for the month of June, 2016 : 1) Cavaliers 2) Bluecoats 3) Crown 4) Blue Devils 5) Cadets 6) SCV 7) Blue Stars 8) Phantom 9) Troopers 10) Madison 11) Crossmen 12) Blue Knights 13) Colts 14) Boston 15) Academy 16) Pacific Crest 17) Mandarins 18) Pioneer The other World Class Division Corps must be ranked lower than the Pioneer for June as they get no points in the DCI ( and DCP ) rankings over Pioneer for not getting off their travel buses in June at all. Now, ..how this compares to June 2015, I'm not really sure, as someone else will have to do that data research so we can adequately compare those scores and rankings from June 2015 with June 2016 here. Ghost
here is what we get thru this exercise: the current DCI World Class Division rankings with the completion of scores and competitions for the month of June, 2016 : So tonight's show (June 30th) in A-Town will not be judged? That's a bummer! (Pssst. Seven P's.)
Ghost
Now, ..how this compares to June 2015, I'm not really sure, as someone else will have to do that data research so we can adequately compare those scores and rankings from June 2015 with June 2016 here. This might be the first comparison post with only 50% of the information provided by the person making a comparison. C- BRASSO.
emc2
Just saying. Example: Cav'==== 6/29==016===73.10. 6/28==015===73.70.===(-.40).
subcritical
First week of 2016 on the left, first week of 2015 on the right. On average, (looking at the LAST show listed (6/29 vs 6/25) 2016 shows are 2.73 points LOWER than 2015 shows (per place). BRASSO
Pioneer currently sits in 18th spot in the current rankings ( as of 2pm, EST, today 6/30/ 2016 ) out of the 22 World Class Division Corps. Pioneer so far has been able to acrue 48.600 score points in their current ranking by deciding to compete early in June. Their competitors scores, and thus their rankings at the moment, are as follows : Pioneer..................... 48.600 Jersey Surf................00.000 Seattle Cascades......00.000 Oregon Crusaders.....00.000 Spirit of Atlanta.........00.000 So there we have it.. the very up to the minute scores from around the country and the World Class Division Corps rankings for the moment. While Pioneer currently sits at 18th in the DCI and DCP rankings, ( with an almost 50 point scores lead over its nearest competitor) we have a virtually tie for 19th place at the moment with the scores. BlueStainGlass
What I find interesting is BK had an incomplete show last year when they came out and they had already broke 70 where they sit at 63 now.
DrumCorpsRadio
I think I would be more curious as to the night to night score increases across the years, but this is pretty cool! Thanks for compiling the data! I'm going to start adding that with tomorrow's post. Thanks for the suggestion!

BRASSO
. On average, (looking at the LAST show listed (6/29 vs 6/25) 2016 shows are 2.73 points LOWER than 2015 shows (per place). Via http://dciscores.com/world/ Thus, if we believe that we can compare scores like this, the conclusion we are compelled to have right now is that the Corps, as a collective group, were a bit better last year at this time than they are right now at this time.
