kdaddy
I watched the 93 Regiment show the other day. I had forgotten they had THREE standing ovations. Come on, guys...
B-Flat
Scv and pr have very beautiful musical selections and classy color guards. That was a great performance by both groups.
ajlemm
A classic guard ripple and toss move the guard used to do up the 50 in the 70s. It was done in a file formation at the same time a popular TV show, the Rockford Files, was airing.I knew about the show, just never knew what the guard move was. Thanks! kdaddy
I knew about the show, just never knew what the guard move was. Thanks! It also appeared more recently in the 99 and 11 shows.

Popular Post jwillis35
Regiment is sounding better. I still don't think they look good, and I don't understand the show. Nothing to understand. No story. It's a celebration of 60 years. That's it. Just fun music, drill, color, and majestic Phantom-style performance. They're not trying to be Cadets, Cavaliers, BD, Bloo, Madison, or anyone else. Just Phantom. Personally I love it regardless of placement. Not every show I like has to be understood on some deep level nor does it have to be demanding or futuristic and innovative. Sometimes just marching and playing and looking proud is good for me. I had goosebumps when I saw them live. I can promise you that come finals, and even before, Phantom will put people in a happy place when they see them, no matter where they place. They are entertaining and majestic. :)
George Dixon
I known they aren't scoring as they wish, but I really enjoy Regiment's show this year. I love the nod to the future, ode to the past vibe of the show with the different levels and the brass players, one looking forward, one back at the end. The soloists are awesome. I love how different all the corps are. They are really all fantastic when it comes down to it.
THeShadeOfNight
Phantom has come such a long way since show one. That music was on point tonight. I wish they would get rid of some of that terrible choreo after the first big hit. It's really out of place and doesn't even look good.
