Ghost
.maybe a little over the top in places...but they can fix that easy.... But will they? Twelve props seem too many for many observers, but they're still hauling around the guard equipment.
Slingerland
Who cares? I don't need a story in my shows. It's just darn good drum corps, and that's good by my book. Look at when Cadets did YPG in 2001. Their show was called Juxtaperformance, and it really changed musical styles with every piece. It was a fantastic show too. Nah. It's like doing one scene of Hamlet, and saying "see, we did Hamlet!" SCV gave the whole piece its due in the 70s/early 80s - Britten's concept and structure were observed, in an abbreviated, but not 'sampled" style, and it worked. This doesn't, for me, at least. Lance
as i've said a couple of times, i prefer bs to both phantom and cavies this year. i pay little attention to scores, but from what i've seen, it looks unlikely bs will overtake either, but i think it's a great show, and will recruit some nice talent next year and beyond.
absynthknight
I don't know how any of the show says Voice of Promise. Extended release Adderall finally kicking in.

George Dixon
I think Phantom gets about as good as it gets without going to WGI on us. Respect. I really enjoyed as well. A little future mixed well with past. Future looking without forgetting where they came from. Love the two brass players at the end with one reaching forward and the otherone back. Mad respect

besson57
Finally, a corps where it's appropriate to throw shade. Edited July 24, 2016 by besson57
POSITIVenrgy
Granted PR is one of my favorite corps, but after the trying-too-hard bizarreness of BK I think Phantom is a welcome, elegant, sophisticated show. Just gorgeous and getting better all the time.
PamahoNow
Can someone explain the mirrors/faces/whatever those things are? Amen. They lay about half of them down, then right back up in a different orientation. Why?
