Really sucks for corps without indoor fields :(

Seems totally unfair. This is a HUGE advantage on so many levels ( to corps that have indoor fields)

I'm trying to type things, but I can't. My head hurts. What an AMAZING evening. Congrats to everyone, from Bluecoats on their first championship, to Blue Devils on your amazing professionalism and

Going to my first Finals ever today with my girl! Leaving at about 11... Excited to get my first taste of Shapiro's. :D Thanks DCP for teaching me so much and feeding my enthusiasm about drum corps.

I don't have a baby so I tossed my cat across the room instead.

Yeah, not getting that last full rehearsal block due to weather is huge.

Best of luck to all the corps performing tonight, I'll be on the 50 in the 400s giving a standing o to every one of you.

I fixed it for ya!! LMAO. Regardless, I love both corps and for the first time in a long time, another corps is vying for my favorite spot!

I will not be disappointed in the placement of ANY of the 12 corps tonight.

Further, those of us who watch on DCI Live and then complain about the judging, should realize that there are NINE judges, each of whom knows way more than us, and they are looking at their own component of the total score. Do we disagree with that score? Really? I have two favorites in this contest (ACADEMY and Crown.....that's for THIS year).....but I accept anything the judges say.

Personally.....how the **** does Academy not get high GE ???????? Just wondering......

Records for highest scores of each placement at Finals going back to 1972.

I don't see any of these being broken except for perhaps whoever ends up 11th tonight.

1) 99.65 - 2014 Blue Devils

2) 98.525 - 2004 Blue Devils

3) 97.7 - 1998 Blue Devils

4) 96.85 - 2013 SCV

5) 95.675 - 2014 Crown

6) 95.3 - 1989 Star of Indiana

7) 93.6 - 1989 Madison Scouts

8) 91.9 - 2010 Blue Stars

9) 90.525 - 2004 Boston Crusaders

10) 89.1 - 1988 Suncoast Sound

11) 87.7 - 2005 Glassmen

12) 86.225 - 2014 Crossmen

Has anyone else happened to have looked up any other possible record-breaking events that could happen tonight?

What's the narrowest margin of victory from 1st-3rd? 1st-4th?

Cavies have moved their rehearsal to De Pauw university about an hour southwest of indianapolis. Cloudy but not much rain so far. Nice crowd building. Ensemble starts at 1:15 INSIDE!!!!!!! Beautiful indoor facility.

Without doing thorough research, in 1980, the spread from 1 to 4 was .8. Blue Devils 90.60, 27th 90.25, Bridgemen 90.95, Spirit 89.80. Edited by Jurassic Lancer

Respectfully, because as enjoyable as they are to watch, it is more reminiscent of a BOA show. Cute does not take top GE in DCI.

This might very well be a year where the gold medalist doesn't break 98.00.

Last season I recall the Blue Devils won without hitting 98, seems to be a trend. The Blue Devils set the bar so high in 2014 that they had to raise the bar of what a 98pt show is. Or maybe last year's and this year's winners just didn't deserve 98 pts, I think it's a combination of both.
