Clutchtow
A couple of years ago they almost did a show based around a reworking of Clowns. Instead they did the Scheherazade reboot. I would hope they revisit an idea like that. Whatever they do though has to be NEW and INNOVATIVE. Something they haven't been able to figure out yet. Really? How did High Wire by Mackey play into the reworking of clowns? That sounds really interesting

HornTeacher
Well I was right last year. Off the top of my head: Santa Clara Vanguard comes out with a show for their 50th Anniversary that is the classiest, most beautiful, and most stunning show we have seen from them in a long time. There were some indicators this year I felt with Bluecoats last year that have me thinking they could be looking at, at least their first medal in very long time. Like last year, that's about as far as I'm gonna go. This year showed that you have absolutely no idea what the hell is gonna happen until you see the shows in June. Which is so ironic considering I created this thread. As our buddy Harry said..."A man's gotta know his limitations."
HornTeacher
Somebody will do a Drum Corps remake of "Nicholas and Alexandra." Unfortunately, a certain co-star to the story won't be a part of it, for another Corps will do, as their show, "Rasputin On Ice." (Age-out is a real b****.) tommynev
I think The Cavaliers will be back just as strong and even better next season. The design team brought something risky and fresh to the table this year and it paid off big time. Only about 1/4 of the corps aged out and I think they will have a ton of guys coming to auditions. I can't imagine any teenage band geeks seeing them perform this summer and NOT thinking how great it would be to be out on the field as a member. As far as placement who knows? Just glad there is so much excitement around the boys from Rosemont again.
Cappybara
Usually I try to wait until some of the shows have been announced but whateverr 1. Blue Devils (60th anniversary/beast has awoken/undefeated season) 2. Bluecoats 3. SCV 4. Crown 5. Cavies 6. Phantom Regiment 7. Blue Knights 8. Cadets (potential staff loss + significant number of new members) 9. Crossmen 10. Blue Stars 11. Boston Crusaders 12. Academy (will attract more talent but staff will be overly ambitious in their design)

Clutchtow
Hmmm... Let's try: 1) Crown 2) Bluecoats 3) SCV (narrow victory over BD at finals night 4) BD 5) Cavies (hold the position all year) 6) Blue Knights 7) Phantom Regiment 8) Blue Stars 9) Cadets 10) Academy (attempts overly ambitious design, and succeeds) 11) Boston 12) Crossmen This is probably a pretty awful prediction, cause I am really bad at this Edited August 16, 2016 by Clutchtow
brians
Up: Blue Stars, Cavies, Madison, Boston, SCV, About the same: BD, Crown, Blue Coats, Phantom, Crossmen...on bubble Down: Cadets, Blue Knights, Academy...will be very interesting if they can move up/or maintain next year. They caught lightening in a bottle this year due to good design and relatively down years for Boston, Troopers, Madison and Colts

The second place...not so much.
