Off hand, I know of 3 members who auditioned/made and accepted a spot in a top 6 corps instead of returning to Academy. Including Jacob (the flugelhorn soloist) taking a spot in Concord. All winter camps are free. I've always said scv is the cheapest corps out there. At the Cavaliers you pay an initial audition fee. Then for the callback camp. If you make the corps, the callback camp fee goes towards your dues. And that is all. I always remember my fees being about the same or lower than some of my SCV friends.
