Staff merri-go-round

But you'd admit that the glassdoor stuff was posted on here a couple years ago. Why is DCP now up in arms about this? Is it because now design/instructional staff is leaving? Not just YEA office staff? Because we can put a face to McNutt and Cipriani and not "Carol in accounting"?

I'm legitimately curious as to why this is now an issue when it wasn't nearly such an issue before.

It absolutely has been an issue. For a while. You might want to do a little searching on DCP here....

Because someone posted it and new people found out about it?

The substance has not been a secret to the community, but this site serves a wider audience than the community.

If what we have heard is happening is actually happening, it's been a long time coming. That's all.

. I have two former employees on my FB page.... The stories...

Easy for you to state when you don't feel the same about Cadets as I do.

This kind of stuff is always hardest on alumni, because they bleed for their corps...figuratively and literally (as well as financially).

I'm curious though, If enough people got together and contacted the DCI administration, maybe even sent them a link to or a picture of the glassdoor reviews, would they be able to do anything about it? I know they couldn't directly interfere with how things are run at YEA, but would they be able to threaten to restrict the cadets participation if a corps director was really treating his staff that horribly? Or any kind of potential punishment? World-class membership is at least in part dependent on financial status of the corps, is it not? If they knew how horribly the finances of the organization were managed, could they do something about that? I'm legitimately wondering.

It's not DCI's problem. It is (assuming it's accurate, which I do) a hostile work environment and a ___tty management structure. The people who work there are adults, and can presumably make their own decisions about who they want to work for and why.

If the members aren't being directly affected, it's not really DCI's business. It's YEA's Board's business.

I see someone watches Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.
