Staff merri-go-round

Recommended Posts

How common in the drum corps world is it for staff to have multi-year contracts? Is this something that was just always around or has it been different from corps to corps? Do corps from time to time want to make sure their staff is strongly in place for the long haul? What are the repercussions if a staff member breaks the contract? I ask this because I've seen two recent announcements specifically about multi-year contracts. Honestly I just never noticed this before. The first was from the Cadets for percussion caption head and the second for the Cavalier design team.

It makes sense. It can take time for a staff to gel

ScoJo is selling his house. I wonder what THAT means.

Just taking a stab at it: but it's possible:

1. He is buying a new one and doesn't need or want 2 of them.

2. He is downsizing or up sizing

3. Got an offer for it he couldn't pass up

4. Just decided he didn't like his house and wants a new one.

Everything doesn't necessarily mean something.....but maybe it does!! LOL

Oh it HAS to mean he is leaving BD. There's no other POSSIBLE reason that a person would sell their house.

It's definitely sinister and means the end of the BD batterie as we know it.
