Excellent news! One of the drummers in the band I arrange for and teach, a senior, is playing snare in C2.

Pssst. Mike.

On Saturday, the master censor as in censoring not censer as in Mass,HockeyDad said we can't make those references on Cadets and other threads. He'll explode.

"In general there tends to be too much information shared on DCP at times about individual marching members. Like what college they're attending or what food they like or what corps they used to be in etc. I find it creepy on a couple levels. One, why do adults know this much personal information about kids. Two, why are you posting this information on DCP?  All I can conclude is it's some sort of weird need at validation, "look at what I know," "look at how I'm sponsoring a kid or kids".   I  wish it would stop. "  :whip::whip::whip:

You know, I have no idea who this is referring to. So is this something that would make you act or feel differently in any manner impacting the member? Nope I would think not. If anything the reaction should be "wow, what growth!!" "great job!" "congratulations"

I think it had more to do with tone or what read as intended slight to the MM. One could say all of the info that was posted but with a different tone or intention. It read to me as negative as a put down. YMMV

Today's moment of Cadets drum corps zen - rededicating the Statue of Liberty (1986):

I know the DM. He was from guess where?

Xandandl  does this fall astray of the censorship rules in this thread?

I think they're fielding 11 snares this season.

Nice show... title is "Simple Gifts"... selections from Appalachian Spring plus Appalachian Morning, among other stuff.

Is there an announcement for this somewhere? I've seen the info floating around but can't seem to find an official source on it.

I might still have their program-book writeup from the show... let me check. I don't always keep my paperwork for long.

This is what the Reading Buccaneers announced April 20th in their advertisement for the concert Spring Preview and listed on DCA DCP thread.

Cadets2  Program title: "Simple Gifts" including "Appalachian Morning" by Sheldon, "Appalachian Morning" by Halley, and "Blue Shades."

I'm sure "Larry" or "Brad" at YEA would be glad to email one to you FOR A PRICE.  I've gotten enough emails from each of them to re-wall paper my whole kitchen. 9 just this past weekend. Come on  guys, give it a rest. If the well is dry, ya ain't gonna get watah.

I hadn't read the Bucs preview thread and didn't think to check there for the Cadets2 info. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction, Fran and xandandl.
