What I find interesting is the contradictions in the argument that Hopkins is too controlling and that is why these guys all left. This may be so, but has he changed the past few years? Did he not have the same management style all the times the Cadets won championships? If so, why would changing out design staff this year deliver different results than the many times it has happened before?

I’ve worked for a Hoppy, the visionary, entrepreneurial personality. Often what makes them so successful is what makes them difficult to work with as they do burn you out.

Oddly, that personality type often tests as a psychopath (google it) which makes sense.

So, you have to take it all with a grain of salt, you go in and learn a lot, are pushed hard but you have to know when to jump out

not saying that's the case here, just offering it up
