kevingamin
Percussion in a pod on the left, guard and brass in one on the right. Body movement from both sides as the pit starts the show. Slick opening from the snares. Drum line in general VERY sharp to start the show. kevingamin
Horns come in with authority! Guard flags are striking in the sun!
keyp
Another evocative opening with the Thunderbirds. Nice layering of percussion!
kevingamin
Same opener as '03 Madison Scouts and THEIR Cirque du Soleil show.
scottmkeen
Horns on the front side line. Drums on the back hash. Solo male guard dancer as the pit begins by playing Clair de Lune. Willem Dafoe is narrating at us as well. Tom Waits! But I like the idea of WD doing our narration!
keyp
The brass section means business! Nice technical proficiency! Energy levels from players seems very matched!
kevingamin
Soprano trio behind the pit just ripped face. By the way, horns are in G and there is no amplification of the pit.
kevingamin
Tom Waits! But I like the idea of WD doing our narration!Well, he sounded like Willem to me. :D
kevingamin
After the on fire opener, we pull it back for Reveil. Mellophone soloist just off the 50 on the melody.
keyp
The transitions are logical and create and nice contrast to the previous section.
