Recommended Posts

It gives me great pleasure to announce the newly elected officers of the Grey Knights Drum & Bugle Corps. Don Blint will remain as Treasurer, Donald Myers will continue as Secretary and also become the new Business Manager. Eric McGonigal will assume the duties of Assistant Director and Rich Fiscus will be leading the group as the Director.
Congratulations to them as they lead us through the next year.

Also, I would like to introduce and welcome our new Brass Instructor for the Grey Knights: Mr. Justin Salada. He is Director of Bands at the Brockway Area School District. Justin is a native of Brockway and a 2014 graduate of Clarion University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education and currently is studying for his Master of Arts in Music Education degree at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He has been director of Bands at Brockway Junior/Senior High School since April 2015. He is a member of the Clarion University Symphony Orchestra and the Warren Philharmonic of Warren PA.
The Grey Knights Welcome Justin and look forward to working hard under his direction in the 2017 Season.

The Grey Knights are an all age Drum and Bugle Corps based in Johnsonburg, PA. We have a rich tradition of Drum & Bugle Corps history dating back to 1936 with an active Drum Corps in every decade. We play “G” Bugles and have members come from as far away as Pittsburgh, Jamestown, Dubois, Kane, and most other local cities.

The Grey Knights will hold an open house on October 30th and again on November 13th, 2016

We practice twice per month after the Christmas holidays, through June, leading up to parade season. We perform in parades and concerts each summer and enjoy great success in entertaining the crowds at these performances.

The Johnsonburg Community Center provides the practice facility at the corner of Market and Bridge Streets. The Grey Knights are currently looking for new members in Brass, (Trumpet/Coronet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone and Tuba), Percussion, Color Guard and A-Guard. We have a large portion of membership from local schools in the area. We are interested in passing our Drum Corps tradition on to a younger Generation! Come and join the fun!

Here are two photos (bottom two) of the Grey Knights from 1959. Not great quality but at least it is something!
