Fish
that ship sailed long before now, decades Interesting that you mention that. There have been unique uniforms in the past that did not seem to influence the band world. Did anyone ever attempt a variation of Bridgemen's banana uniforms? Not just Bridgemen, Seattle Imperials seem to be the first corps to have tried the Bluecoats "jumpsuit" style of uniform way back in 1980. It also seemed to never have been adapted anywhere else. Here's a link to a performance from the Imperials from 1980. They have similar pronounced beltline like the Bluecoats. https://youtu.be/nmq_RjUd3fM One thing to note, i think Bluecoats costumes from this past year had a lot of 70's influence. At times I think they are an open shirt/cape away from 70's Elvis.

Something as individual as certain corps may be noted for could merely be viewed as copying rather than expanding on a trend or thought or idea. AS I said sometimes it just opens doors.
