DCA went over our books and sat in on a rehearsal and liked what they saw, but their one concern is that we might not reach the minimum membership threshold to qualify for Class A by the time the season begins. The decision is supposed to be made by April 1 so hopefully we find out soon. edit: nope, no luck. Didn't pass the evaluation this year. Sorry to hear DCA class A needs more corps
Florida Sun
Solaris is going the route of DCI Soundsport ,along with New England Centurains ,HighLand Regiment didn\t past .And it looks like Cinn Tradistion moved up into Open ,So it doesn\t look like Chass A will be growning this year .Congrads again to Southern Knights and still waitting on Legacy that would bring it to 5 corps this season .

The 35 performer rule isn't designed to grow or expand DCA. It's protection for show sponsors, and it's a very good rule, ensuring they're not paying appearance fees to a non-viable drum corps (which happened prior to the rule's implementation). If an organization cannot meet that 35 member minimum, there are other performance avenues available to them. It wasn't a matter of just being one or two short, though.

Southern Knights
The Southern Knights just completed another camp. We now have 54 sets of drill with visuals onto the field. That is all of Mvts. 1 & 2. About 5 minutes of the show marched and played on April 9th. This show is so much fun to perform! We do have a couple soprano spots, and 1 contra spot that just opened up. Must have previous marching experience.
