I believe the custom has been that if one won the Jim Jones award as drum major/conductor, one was not eligible to win it in future seasons. David won the award three seasons ago, his rookie season as head conductor for Phantom Regiment. Not only wowing everyone as a rookie, he won it in the season succeeding the season in which Dean Patterson also of Phantom Regiment won the award. ouooga Posted February 27, 2017 Share Posted February 27, 2017 (edited) Not sure I have a favorite, but Jonathan Holm (I think that's his name, BD 01-05) comes to mind. Fun story, I was in the lot at Finals in 04. I got into line for the port-a-potties, and Holm ended up coming out of the port-a-potty in full uniform. I didn't think much of it, I knew who he was but that was it. However, when I got out of the restroom, I was surprised to see him still standing there. He pushed past whoever was in line next and jumped into the port-a-potty. He came out a second later holding a huge gold ring with a big blue stone on top, and loudly shouted "phew, that could have been bad."
