Opening Night!

Recommended Posts

Is the season opener on the FloMarching stream? I see it listed under "events" but the description is sort of vague as to whether it's only "at theaters" or not.

Discovered this morning that I have two tickets to Tour Premier in Indy I won't use. (Ordered a group of three for me and my folks, forgetting that I had much earlier ordered two others.) These are section 141, row 1, seats 1 and 2. They are not near me; I'm in 239.

If it works out for anyone, I'm happy to give them away by meeting you at a LOS entrance before the show. No charge. They'll otherwise go to waste. We can exchange more details privately.

I couldn't agree more.  Having seen a few previews, there are several that could be the big dog on opening night.

I say Coats, Cavaliers, Crown, Cadets as the top 4 on Thursday. Cadets are behind and still haven't even run the show with uniforms and have all types of transition and electronic/balance issues plus a fake ending. Crown has some similar issues but is much cleaner. Cavaliers have a more complete package on the field right now and already pretty effective IMO. Coats won last year so you have to give them the edge. I'd say the top two within a point or so, then a slight gap, then another gap to Cadets. All just a guess

I will definitely take your word on that. Cadets are behind? Hmmm... actually, that can help thr corps out later on in the season. Either way, I am still not 100%.... just have to be patient until Thursday.

Coats and Cavies make the most sense as the top two.  Then again, when has DCI ever made sense?:sarcasm:

they have a ton of off days coming up - more like a BD schedule the first 30 or so days. They need to leverage those and catch up quickly (prior to regionals)

they have a 90 second ending to add - that is supposed to be in by Orlando. Then we can get a real read on where things stand. I think they are behind badly right now (IMO) but with a lot of upside as you say which can help a corps out later season (see Cavaliers just last year!)
