Opening Night!

Wish I could hear any of what the trombones where playing but it was basically all choir in the theater. Not sure about this show yet. I'm sure it's a better design than last year though.

Uh. Well as a non-religious person, I found the whole "LET US PRAY" and such narration to be a bit suffocating. I'd be content if they just made the choir have traditional background vocals that complement the hornline and axe the religious references in the narration considering there's plenty of those religious references already in the visual aspects of the show.

But then it wouldnt be a Holy Name show...

I'm totally on board with Cadets show. Can't wait till the ending is added. And I'm totally digging the skirts.

It was not like that in person. Choir was not overpowering the brass.

I agree. Suffocating is a really great way to put it.

It'll be interesting to see how the judges reward (or not) all the risks they're taking visually through the season.

What visual risks? Having a poorly designed visual show, a poorly written drill, and two minutes (plus) in a row were there is no drill is not taking risks, it's just being stupid.

It's the source material though... 100%.
