Something's telling me Cadets2 did not use the weekend practice time to full advantage.

Again, from my unscientific "don't take this to the bank or you might go broke" calculations...LOL... eight corps have locked up Open Class finalist spots, and three corps have the inside track on the last two spots.  And Class A... again, I have no idea. Wide open.

But we have several weeks to go. If history is any guide, a lot can happen.

If you look up the word "unpredictable" in a dictionary, you'll see "DCA and last few weeks of August" as one of its definitions.

actually they had several days together, and talking to some staff Saturday they had a very productive set of rehearsals

Cadets2 (on Flo) looked pretty good. I saw some work needed in marching execution, but nothing that can't be worked out between now and Labor Day.  The rocking chairs didn't do much for me. They did make the corps look bigger in size from the high cam shots. One flaw about them (easy to fix) is near the end when they put the out-of-action chairs on the front side line. They are placed with careless intervals.  Suggest centering each chair on its own yard  marker, or making sure adjacent chair arms are touching. I can see Cadets2 reaching the Top 3.

Nice to see that the White Sabers have been added to the Bushwackers' home show on Aug. 19.

Gives the Sabers another chance to go head to head with the top of the pack.

This could turn out to be one of the most exciting finishes in DCA history.  Has been a weird season the way the adjudicated opportunities have been stretched out for some groups but I expect to see some hellified performances coming from everyone over the next couple weeks.  The ultimate winner will be the crowds that come to the shows
