Guardians on Friday had the second highest score in their history (behind Prelims last year).  The kids are riding high right now.  They've got a rehearsal day today (only two left!) then back into action tomorrow.  Since they did such a short tour, this week is the real "tour" week for them - 5 shows in 7 days.  Hopefully the extra show reps will help!

They used to do it that way, but the past couple years, the top two scores for each corps from any performance during the Open Class tour (approx. ten days) have been averaged to determine Prelims order. That said, in 2015 and 2016 it has mostly worked out that those top scores come from the final Friday and Saturday, as you describe (this year that would be Sheffield, Oregon, Avon Lake, and Cedar Rapids).

Here's what DCI's story about the Open Class tour said last year: "The top two scores for each corps from the series will be taken and averaged. Those scores will then determine the seeding and performance order for the Open Class Prelims in Michigan City."

After watching many video\s of Company why the 12point drop in scoring ?There much better then that score from Clifton

Were they scored on WC sheets?  IDK -- I thought they did away with WC vs OC scoring differences to avoid that big drop in scoring when OC Corps joined WC at Prelims in Indy.

What do they have for props this year?  I remember they had that cool big silver ball last year. 

When I was at Cranston and saw the Spartans for the first time this year I was thinking, " They recycled RCR's big silver ball and painted a globe on it"
