The Cavaliers are on RIGHT NOW!  I wish I could get to more live shows.  My wife and kids think I am totally bonkers for liking drum corps so much but they'll have to deal with it.

I'll be out of commission for awhile because I get my left hip replaced on July 10, a week from today, but I should be ready for Centerville on August 1.  I'm otherwise super healthy so I qualify for the new minimally invasive method.

I hope the surgery goes well, please tell me you will try to see my posts from Houston. I am certain of posting a few photos.

Positive thoughts for you.  We're all going there from the old days, I believe.  I'll have a bionic right knee in a few years when the pain becomes too much.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

This new method is miraculous.  They go through the front, no muscles get cut, they use synthetic cartilage, and the prosthetic is titanium and ceramic.  I'll walk out of the hospital 24 hours after surgery.  There's no general anesthesia, either: Just a spinal block and a little Versed to take the edge off.

It will be standard procedure in five years in the US.  It's been in use in Europe for forty years,
