J. Ausedemore strikes again. CROWN has owned the music analysis caption most all summer but not tonight.  Getting harder to hide the bias

But .8 in guard and .5 for percussion in favor of vanguard.  Judges tonight were not afraid to put up some spreads.  Mild surprise with Crown taking visual analysis with that guard spread...

Speaking of "bandos", my eyes involuntarily roll every time I hear that ["they're always ready"] (typically at a band competition).

I keep saying that every group needs to come up with its own unique response.

At the risk of insulting some folks... as a resident of this state all my life, I will all but guarantee most of them very, very likely don't really get what the show is actually about. They see churchy things and whoop and holler about it because church. There's crosses on the field!

I know this show is in Oklahoma, but I'm reminded of seeing a science fiction author speak a few years back at a conference in Texas. He recalled how once he and his wife had contemplated moving there, and he was talking to some residents of the state about that possibility. They told him that he'd be likeliest to fit in if folks knew he was a Christian. Well, he said, he was a practicing Catholic. "Oh, honey," was the reply, "in Texas, Catholic ain't Christian."

(Yes, I know there are lots of Catholics in Texas. It's a big state with a diverse population.)
