As the marching/visual book is learned injuries do sometimes occur. Deficiencies in actual day-to-day comprehension and relational issues such as sharing life with 200 individuals, homesickness, semester grades which demand summer school, internship opportunities, family tragedies and illness, the inability to deliver on tuition payments for drum corps and/or college are but some of the typical reasons and why holes appear. Even BD has been known to cover alternates for these reasons. Departures are not always a negative. From what I understand there have been fewer replacements due to injury and other causes this year than at the same point in the last couple of years. One of the reasons is the MM's have been getting recovery days, which anyone with a brain would know is necessary but which The Cadets never had before. 1

According to Scott (the new Director), they did not lose a single member after the event in April. That says a lot.
xandandl
All corps will be a bit quiet today with the mid-day DCI teleconference/webinar about the new protocols; Cadets schedule tonite includes an hour on "Uniform Etiquette." (Maybe an internal uniform reveal?) Also, note, the official lingo used was uniform.
George Dixon
The evening event is an annual cadets meeting about protocol while in uniform, walk in twos etc

Terri Schehr
I hope this darn rain clears up for them. We’ve had persistent heavy rainstorms for two day here that have spread east.
