I'm seeing it the same way. My first live drum corps isn't until Saturday June 30th in Allentown - 11 more days away

I was thinking of heading to that show.  If I don't go, then it won't be until DCI East that I will see any live drum corps.

For C2 that’s a lot further along than in past seasons. C2 has closed strong in DCA but this winter worked hard to have a stronger start.

They had to. There's no other way to put it. Looks like Mike Tanzos is getting things done in terms of the brass ensemble maturity at C2, this bodes very, very well for them. They just didn't have that roundness and depth before.

Jim will see them in Peckville 7/29.  I won’t until Williamsport.

They're making their 2018 debut this Saturday in Milton, PA.  Head to head with the Buccaneers.

Could be quite interesting.  LOL.

C2 is the best I’ve ever seen them this early. Scary to think where this show takes them come Labor Day and a persistent rehearsal schedule. The bar has been set high.

yes, by the Cadets...

For you DCA types who have forgotten that this is a DCI forum and DCA has its own DCP page for such discussions, one hits the Forum tab on the upper left of this page, this will bring up the homepage for forums. Don't lose patience because DCA is listed after World Class, then Open Class, then the DCA page. Voila. Have a nice summer season. Now back to Cadets.

:whip:

With everything going through in YEA this season - I'm pretty sure most of us are excited about any and all positive news out of the organization.

I also think the improvement of C2 (apparent) will be reflected in the DCI Cadets corps as well. Folks will be quite surprised IMO.

no beef with what you posted first and here. But there are several (4) posters who revert every thread to a rehash of their DCA daze.

yes, we look with anticipation to Cadets appearance on Saturday. The late addition and the pre-intermission performance will but spark more determination to prove the nay-sayers wrong while they awe the rest of us.

Geez...  didn't get enough sleep or something???  Toothache, perhaps??? LOL

No need for the low-rent snark. You can hit the "report" button anytime you wish if something, or someone, bugs you.

I won't get snarky and give you detailed instructions as to where to find the "report" function.

Unfortunately, I probably am not going to see Cadets until the "semis at the movies" show in August. That sucks for me. They are going to be a great story this summer.
