KVG_DC
They could draw from the soundtracks for those Tomm Moore movies that are all the rage. Secret of Kells and Song of the Sea are gorgeous both musically and visually.
Jeremy Denzer
With a score that barely would have them in open class finals it may be time to reconsider staying in world class....are the kids really getting the best experience? At least if they were to compete in open class they would get three performances during championship week.

cowtown
It’s time they did Stiff Little Fingers, or not
copyright
It would make little to no sense financially for Pioneer to return to open class - if anything it would lower recruitment numbers. It is clear that corps like Legends, Music City and even River City Rhythm are starting to win the dinner table battle for students who have the money to tour. The years when Pio was most successful at recruitment were years that they had staff dedicated to engaging/retaining new and veteran members to adapt to the somewhat fluctuating programming styles i.e. Broadway, Irish, Celebrate?, Church music, Joan of Arc, etc. Hats off to the design team for the product they put together this year - I thought it was an enjoyable show that allowed the students to grab ahold and tell a great story. It's very unlikely they'd choose to go that route.

They run a pretty efficient ship financially and going to OC would put that in jeopardy.
corps8294
Pioneer is the most creatively restricted corps in world class. Until that changes, they will remain where they are.
Brian Tuma
Out of curiosity, what is the appearance fee for a world class show? Is there a base fee but some shows pay out more? Pio appeared in 25 shows according to Corps Reps.

Yet the creative staff was, well, creative in naming the show Irish on Broadway to work around that (him).
