NWS now says 30% Saturday and 40% Sunday. Says "showers" not "storms" so presumably the show(s) could go on if it happens.

Just four days ago it looked like 40 inches of rain was the worst-case scenario, but I saw this morning that some locations in the Houston area have already surpassed that figure and may add 15 or more inches on top of that. Those poor people. This is an unprecedented amount of rain. Continuing prayers for them. And please donate if you can.

People I know in Houston are recommending donations to the Houston Food Bank: http://www.houstonfoodbank.org/ It's generally advisable to donate to local charities in disaster situations. (Also, I just saw that one weather station there has recorded 49 inches of rain. So far.)

I'm just going to hope our flight can get back to Chicago Monday.

Prelims are over at 8:15pm so we should be good to go Saturday. Sunday looks bad, though.
