xandandl Posted January 6, 2018 Share Posted January 6, 2018 It's been publicly stated by Dan Potter that Tom Blair will lead the electronics ("sound reinforcement") discussion. But who is leading each caption discussion among the instructors? Is it the judging chairman for that caption, the task force members for that caption, or has each caption selected its own chairperson? Different DCI Rules Congresses have followed different protocols in different years. Who would be the current judging caption heads now that John Turner is directing? A chair can greatly influence the direction of discussions and can even steer the selection and election of discussion about proposals by giving nuance, emphasis, and choosing when to terminate discussions prior to votes.
