BoyWonder1911
The last couple of years, upon the show announcements from the Cavaliers, I had thought it would be a flop. I thought Propaganda was gonna be a flop. Boy was I wrong. And then last year they jumped BCoats. It would not surprise me one bit to see Cavaliers win a bronze medal. This staff really seems to know how to put on a show. No reason they can't beat the Coats again and also Crown. I think BD and SCV are here to stay in the top 2. So 3rd is a possibility. We'll see if they can make something great 3 years in a row. Although a concept like this.....seems Blue Devil-ish. Something artsy coming from The Cavs.....this could be interesting!!! Cadevilina Crown
Genesis 2018: “Retrovertigo” Featuring music by the Moody Blues, Peter Gabriel, Mr. Bungle, Metallica, John Zorn, Jonathan Elias, and Pink Martini. https://instagram.com/p/BiKWxpbg19C/
hostrauser
Mr. Bungle has a ton of great music that would be interesting (albeit difficult) to arrange for the field. Their song Retrovertigo will make a FANTASTIC ballad, assuming that's part of the show. It's a beautiful song (IMO), but the lyrics are dark and the music video is... uh, pretty twisted (this is par for the course with Bungle). Content warning: simulated drug and alcohol use, adult scenes, implied violence.

Last fall, the Avon (IN) high school marching band also played Maslanka's Symphony No. 4 (and finished third in Grand Nationals). And this year, besides Surf, the Reading Buccaneers in DCA are playing this piece.
