yeah ...sorta they were more like death traps...lol...we youngins were in a covered wagon

In my local-circuit junior corps, we had a "younger kids" bus... an "older kids" bus... and starting in 1973 our equipment vehicle was a converted bus, with several seats up front where the oldest members rode.

In 1973 we jokingly referred to that equipment vehicle as the "overage bus"... that year there was a considerable amount of truth to that description, and I'll refrain from further comment. :innocent:

I was on the best crappy school bus in 78 and we had a sign up sheet for who we were letting on that bus.

can't have hazing now you know

Heck Jeff, Kappa Kappa Psi National HQ served notice constantly in 1984ish it was unacceptable and that you'd get your charter revoked in less than a heartbeat if you pulled that garbage. Maybe we were way ahead of the curve. I dunno.

This brings a smile to my face. BITD at Westshore, a lot of us, myself included grew as much facial hair as possible to look older. :satisfied:

My guess is that crappy bus was still in better shape than the legendary Crossmen "Boy's Bus" in period.

they had buses back then dude?

They used riverboats and toured the rivers for tour then. If they couldn't afford the riverboats, they used barges towed by mules. Least that's what Benny and Pete told Jim and I BITD.
