Hutera’s casting was key to “Heart & Soul.” The show’s designers wanted to draw a contrast between the steadily beating “mechanical” heart, and the “subjective” aspects of the soul, played by Hutera, Komnick said. With the rest of the corps costumed in red, Hutera will wear purple and play a flugelhorn — “kind of a cross between a trumpet and a mellophone. It has a completely unique sound to it,” he said. It's worth waiting to see how everything looks in the shows. Last year, I though Boston looked silly in the photos. Instead, I liked them a lot on the field.
