kevingamin
Pit opening. Corps all in poses across the field. Guard on side one, 45 yard line, expanding out as they do movement and saber work.
kevingamin
Mellos enter, followed by the rest of the corps. Silent drill with a percussion pickup into the statement of the opener.
kevingamin
Horn line sounds...nice. Tradition was louder. The overall sound suffered, but you could tell they were putting their all into the performance. Second movement opens with a drum feature.
kevingamin
Emerald green flags in the guard. Mellophone feature on the very Celtic melody, passed off to the trumpets. More energy from the horns here, but they're still getting overpowered by any electronic effects used in the pit.
kevingamin
Tempo kicks up for the next section of the show. Drums are moving pretty fast on side 1. Horns on side 2.

kevingamin
Pit opens the next movement. Drums on side 1 join in. Guard moving the dragon props to new positions on the field. I can't tell if that's a mellophone or a baritone soloist from the sound. Nice 3/4 feel to this piece. Also great work shaping the music by the horns. One guard member has two large blue wing flags with gold stripes on them. The rest have blue and lavender flags with yellow scale patterns (dragon scales, mind you, not music). kevingamin
Drum feature to open the next movement. By the way, the drum major has the REDDEST hair I've ever seen. Striking.
