mfrontz
Madison. I have thoughts. Better technically than SOA but not as well communicated, at least for first half of the show. Great soloist. More some other time. posted from the DrumScorps app

Good for some short term hype I guess. But I agree the gap between Cadets and Boston could be very interesting to watch. I could see Cadets taking some captions from Boston in the not-too-distant future. As for catching the Cavaliers, I just don't see it happening. The excellence across the board will keep them apart. It's not how hard your show is, it's how easy your performers make it look. IMHO you can already see a marked difference using that measuring stick. Fun to follow Boston's progress as they attempt the climb. Like they say in the fine print, past results are no guarantee of future performance. If you noticed, I used the word “was.” Without a full panel of judges, the point spreads do not matter as much, at least to me. I’m not writing off BAC just yet. As someone from the Boston area who has followed the corps since the mid 1970’s, they are often underestimated. Remember in 2016 they were going to fall from finals, in 2017 they were going to be 8th or 9th at best. We forget that BAC often has shows that evolve, and some corps do plateau. While BD, SCV, Bloo, and Crown in the top 4, Cavies in 5th, and Boston in 6th, I do expect some excitement and close calls. I see Cadets as a solid 7th place prediction and no lower than 7th, though not enough to bet the farm. I do believe this year’s top 7 will be last year’s top 7, how it will play out will be interesting.
