Unusual for downtown Indy (and also for me, since bedtime keeps creeping forward each year).

Thank you!  I hear ya about bedtime.  I make it through the local news at 10pm and I’m out.

HI all -- total DCI newbie here -- but looking forward to the Prelims / Semis / Finals in a few weeks! Any recommendations on places to go, things to eat, and beer to drink 'round Downtown Indy? We won't have a car so we'll be walking and ridesharing during our stay. Thanks!

Indy is very Uber friendly.  We use it all the time there.  Mass avenue has a ton of great restaurants. Beer?  Sun king and 3 Floyds are my favorites.

You definitely have to Uber to Mass Avenue but it’s only about $5.   The restaurants are much more interesting than downtown.

All this hotel talk...

I ran into the issue where I'm under 21. I had to find a hotel that books to 18 y/o's, then within my budget (<$400). Took me a couple hours of searching, but I found a beautiful Red Roof Inn about a 20 minute drive from LOS, $320 for 4 nights. :16_relieved: Sadly no breakfast though.

There is a Wingate at Rockville and the interstate on the west side...probably 10 minutes from downtown that is pretty reasonable. Plenty of restaurants there too.

Shapiro's is pretty awesome, huge menu and only a couple blocks south-southeast of the Can. Ram is pretty decent, St. Elmo's is nice but pricy. They have a Giordano's up near the circle as well. Late night drunk food...White Castle (ugh), Steak and Shake, and a place called Hotbox Pizza that's open till 4 am Thursday-Saturday. Hotbox Pizza is actually pretty tasty but it's mostly a takeout place.

I was in Indianapolis about 3 weeks ago and they now have a SUGARFIRE!  Its a great BBQ place right between Capital Grille and Rockbottom - I am totally going there once (or ten times) during the week.

Is Webers Grill restaurant still in downtown Indy?
