Interesting to compare to 20 years ago, how much has changed. Yet the constant is Yamaha. Interestingly 10 years ago it seems like Dynasty was the next big thing, it appears in regards to drum corps endorsement, it hasn't materialized.

No Slingerland?

Who was the last to use Slingerland? Ludwig?

Ludwig I would guess would be Spirit. As far as Slingerland, maybe SCV?

In the 1980's (I think 1989) Pearl had 17 of the top 25. Does show how things have changed.

Ah -- Ludwig. I think my concert snare drum my parents bought for me in the 5th grade was Ludwig. And I bought a Ludwig bass drum pedal for The Son's electronic drum set (Yamaha).

Why don't you hear about them much any more?  Other manufacturers have better marketing?

Ludwig is making a comeback. A few WGI finalists this last year had Ludwig equipment. They're... pretty OK.

I havent heard great things about them but of you get a good deal as an endorsement cant argue with that. I met the Dynasty rep last year in the SCV lot and can say 100% best customer service. Work with you every step of the way and check in to see if everything is working well. They even make sure that they find lower class groups at wgi to advertise them. Couldnt be happier with the product!
