Radar looked bad, and then when the rain really picked up, I hope everyone had already loaded up so they weren’t still loading in that rain. posted from the DrumScorps app Cadets2 loading props

The reason that I went to Pasedena in 2007 was because it was supposed to be the last outdoor DCI final since Indianapolis was supposed to start in 2008. Turn out that indianapolis was not ready for 2008 and the Bloomington IND outdoor venue was used instead. I would have attended that, but couldn't. So Allentown is my finals. Another 20 minutes and it would have been a monsoon. Standing water on Hamilton trying to get out of there We were across the street, at Big Woody's for the Crossmen alumni party, and thank God we were under cover. It was absolutely pouring rain. Crazy.
hardcorpscadets
One the strangest experiences I’ve ever had in drum corps was Allentown in the early 80s back when they morning prelims and evening finals. The night before it rained very much like tonight if not more so. In the morning when arrived at the field, it was still extremely wet. Someone knew someone and before we knew it, a large helicopter from a local military base showed up and started running back and forth across the field for about 30 minutes. Shorty after that the field was dry enough to start prelims. Never happen today.
barigirl78
Assuming The weather is better tomorrow, I think DCI should institute a Rain Date. Have the corps who did not compete tonight, do so Saturday afternoon. Ticket holders would be happy.

Those corps are already multiple hours down the road towards their next show at this point.
