Is it based off of finals placement the previous year? In past years since 2011, it was actually called NightBEAT Tour of Champions, so it was scheduled like a typical TOC show. They seemed to have dropped that moniker this year (at least on the DCI site). And last year was a little bit of an exception because the Southeastern Regional couldn't accommodate all the World Class corps, so those who couldn't do the Southeast Regional were slated in NightBEAT.
