kevingamin
So far, we've heard Chuck Henson and Brandt Crocker for pre-recorded show announcements.
kevingamin
Spirit guard is using those black skirts to great visual effect. Great flash of visual to go with the drum line's opening flair.
kevingamin
Man, what a sound when the horns turn forward! And they're just hitting us with it continuously in this opener! Woot!
kevingamin
Now, bring it down and let the trumpets and mellos do some 16th note goodness
kevingamin
Spirit showing some swagger in the drum line and soloists tonight. This corps knows they're good.
kevingamin
Great groove from the pit now as the corps moves to the right side of the field, kicks up the tempo, and goes full shout section on us.
kevingamin
Hurt makes for a poignant ballad. Trumpet soloist from earlier now on flugelhorn and, man, he expresses the hell out of the melody.
kevingamin
Flugelhorn solo becomes a duet as a concert euph joins him. There's a sentence I never thought I'd write when I started doing this. :D

kevingamin
Brass all backfield behind the door props. Sound echoing off the back stands. Wonderful musical moment. Guard provides all of the visual with half on saber and the other half wearing the skirts again. Flugel soloist back out to finish the ballad.
