N.E. cloudskipper
Loved Gold’s show as well as Golden Empire when I saw them at Riverside. Wish Vessel had made it east, they have some serious potential. I’m rooting for the kids I saw, hope Gold finishes 3rd and GE top six.

This could easily happen again for one or several corps with this grouping. I could live with that. Go Southwind!

TRacer
In my view if SCVC can sustain a 0.1 or 0.2 spread on GE and keep doing what they’re doing on brass (not a strength of BDB’s at the moment) and percussion (slight edge to VC) VC will overcome the gap that’s developed this past week on the visual side, especially in VA and CG. My judging “spider sense” is telling me that VC and BDB are being held back numbers-wise so as not to overtake long-time DCI stalwarts Troopers and Madison before Indy.

Ironic that you mention spiders. Personally I think Legends' show should have beat BDB's in both GE captions last night. BDB's props are bland and didn't move very smoothly. Also, given that Troopers broke 80 more than a week ago and then got stomped down more than two points by the judges in their next few shows, I'm not sure who's being held back. The last time I saw BDB live was in Bellflower on 07/15 and at the time I felt Gold’s show design was far superior. I had “heard” then that BDB’s props (which were simple black at that show) were still a work in progress. It willbe an interesting day later today if the weather holds!
